#Solana行情走势解读 The skyrocketing prices of storage chips—what's behind this surge?

DRAM and NAND have been extremely hot over the past two years. Starting from Q4 2025, prices have been soaring, with increases between 40% and 50%. Server-grade memory is especially exaggerated—64GB configurations jumped from $255 to $700, disrupting the entire cost structure.

What is the driving force behind this? The疯狂 expansion of AI infrastructure. Data centers are rushing to secure AI computing power, leading to a surge in demand for high-end chips, directly squeezing consumer-side production capacity. This triggers a chain reaction: mobile phone and PC manufacturers are forced to accept these price hikes.

The most heartbreaking part is the downstream device industry. The material costs for low-end phones have already increased by a quarter, leaving manufacturers facing a dilemma—either raise prices and risk losing consumers or hold onto profits. As a result, small and medium brands are starting to clear low-end product lines and focus on higher-margin mid-to-high-end markets.

But there's a contradiction here: demand hasn't kept up. It is expected that smartphone shipments will actually decline by 2% in 2026. In this scenario of tight supply and weak demand, manufacturers have limited room to raise prices. The entire industry chain is calculating—how long can this round of price increases last? Storage vendors are making huge profits, but downstream players are still struggling.

The upstream of Chicken Blood is having a blast, while the mid and downstream should just hold on tightly? It's a typical wealth transfer game, just like that.

The AI chip war has really thrown the entire industry chain into chaos, with downstream mobile phone manufacturers becoming the scapegoats. No one can predict how long this price increase will last.

ngl, seeing memory costs triple in less than a year hits different... reminds me of the 2017 gpu shortage when everyone was panic-buying for mining rigs lol
