The U.S. Supreme Court's tariff case is about to reach a conclusion. Although no ruling was announced on Friday, a key hearing is scheduled for next week, and the decision is expected to be announced by Wednesday.

The nine justices are now carefully weighing a core issue: whether Trump's use of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act last year to bypass Congress and impose global tariffs, as well as a series of tariffs against countries like Canada, China, and Mexico—especially those related to the fentanyl issue—are legally justified.

It is worth noting that the court has not disclosed in advance which rulings will be announced. Based on the November hearing, the justices appeared reserved about Trump's tariff policies and raised numerous questions about the government's arguments.

That said, the Supreme Court typically issues opinions before the end of each term (usually by June), so this ruling may still take several weeks or even months to be officially released.
