As artificial intelligence and blockchain technology deepen their integration, we are witnessing the birth of a new track—the AI-native cryptocurrency.

The so-called AI-native does not simply mean using AI as an off-chain tool, but rather embedding artificial intelligence directly into the consensus layer and execution layer of the blockchain, making it an inherent capability of the protocol.

Among many projects, I believe the following three will demonstrate the most powerful potential by 2026:

1. @Bittensor: Infrastructure for Decentralized AI Models
Bittensor has built an open marketplace where multiple machine learning model providers can compete and offer services. Its core innovation lies in dividing the network into multiple "subnets," each focused on specific tasks (such as language models, visual recognition, data quality assessment). The value of the TAO token is directly linked to the actual utility of the subnets—the more useful the subnet, the more token rewards it receives.
This design's advantage is modularity and openness, but it still relies on deterministic computation: validators repeat the same calculations to confirm results. The potential of AI models' nondeterminism has not yet been fully unleashed here.

2. @SingularityNET: Decentralized Marketplace for AI Services
SingularityNET has created a global network of AI services, where developers can publish AI algorithms, and users can purchase these services with the AGIX token. The platform supports a wide range of AI functionalities from image recognition to natural language processing, and employs DAO governance mechanisms to let the community decide development directions.
The strength of SingularityNET lies in its extensive AI service ecosystem, but it faces a fundamental limitation: AI computations mainly run off-chain, with the blockchain serving only as a payment and governance layer, unable to directly verify the quality of AI outputs.

3. @GenLayer: The First Truly Intelligent Blockchain, and my top choice for a breakthrough in this field.

Why do I believe GenLayer will become a breakthrough project by 2026?
The fundamental difference of GenLayer is that it is the only blockchain that embeds AI directly into the consensus layer. Other projects use AI outside the blockchain, but GenLayer integrates AI into the very concept of the blockchain itself.

Three major technological breakthroughs of GenLayer:
1. Neural Consensus + Delegated Proof of Stake
Validators run AI models locally, compare their reasoning results, and jointly verify contract outputs. This is different from traditional dPoS's simple repeated calculations; it is a distributed neural evaluation process—validators independently think through answers, reaching consensus as long as their conclusions are sufficiently close.

2. Optimistic Democratic Mechanism
Drawing on the Condorcet Jury Theorem, leaders propose AI-generated outputs, and validators use the principle of equivalence to independently judge whether they are "meaningful." It’s like a group reviewing summaries: as long as the meaning is correct, exact wording is not necessary.

3. Support for Nondeterministic Operations
This is the most revolutionary capability of GenLayer. Traditional blockchains cannot handle operations that may produce slightly different outputs each time (such as AI reasoning, sentiment analysis, web queries), but GenLayer can securely verify these nondeterministic results—so long as the AI output is within a reasonable range, consensus remains intact.

Practical Application: Demonstration on the Rally Platform
Rally showcases GenLayer’s unique capabilities: subjective scoring, intelligent attribution, fraud detection, and contextual evaluation. This requires an intelligent blockchain capable of assessing quality, not just performing calculations.

Summary of core differences:
• Bittensor and SingularityNET: Run AI services on deterministic blockchains, with AI computation off-chain; blockchain handles payments and governance.
• GenLayer: AI runs directly on the consensus layer, capable of natural language understanding, real-time data retrieval, and subjective judgment—something no other native AI blockchain project can currently achieve.

While other projects are still improving the efficiency of AI service markets, GenLayer is building a new paradigm: enabling the blockchain itself to possess intelligence.

That’s why I believe that by 2026, GenLayer will be the most groundbreaking project in the AI-native cryptocurrency field—because it is not just AI + blockchain, but AI* blockchain.
