Last night, when BTC plunged directly from 91,000, I watched as two fates diverged at the exact same second.

My old buddy A-Gang, who’s been with me for over a year, saw the price and instantly went all-in on shorts, ending up with a huge profit. And then there’s A-Jie, a newbie who’s only been in the game for three months—he saw the same signal, but only dared to open a tiny position. In the end, the money he made was barely enough for some fried chicken.

That’s how surreal this market is: same price point, same signal, but the outcome is worlds apart depending on your guts.

Last night around 91,000, that upper shadow was long and glaring. I said right then, “Bulls are running out of steam, reversal incoming.” A-Gang didn’t even flinch—he maxed out his position and executed without hesitation. A-Jie followed along, but only dipped his toe in the water, even sending me a message: “Bro, what if your prediction is wrong? I’ll just try out a small position first…”

Classic. Every crypto newcomer looks like this at first—doesn’t trust the market, doesn’t trust others, and doesn’t trust themselves.

Not long after, BTC tanked as the technicals predicted. The numbers on their accounts went in completely different directions: A-Gang’s profits soared by the hundreds and thousands; A-Jie’s floating profit crawled up like a snail, barely moving a few bucks after staring at the screen forever—so slow he almost wanted to smash his phone.

This market always feeds on human nature: the bold feast, the hesitant get scraps, and those who can’t decide end up with nothing at all.

A-Gang was decisive when closing his position: “That was a satisfying cut!” You could hear the confidence—pros harvest precisely when they’re right. A-Jie, on the other hand, admitted honestly, “Bro… my position is only enough for a takeout meal.”

I told him a hard truth: “You’ll never go hungry, but remember—get the direction right a hundred times, but with an ant-sized position, you’ll never get a real piece of the pie.”

That’s the harshest part of this market: it’s not that you don’t understand, it’s that you don’t dare. It’s not that there’s no opportunity, it’s that you hesitate until it’s gone. At the same level, some people recover everything in one trade, others barely fill their stomach—what makes the difference isn’t skill, but guts.

A-Gang gets steadier and bolder with every trade; A-Jie’s direction isn’t wrong, but he just can’t take that crucial step. Still, to be fair, being willing to follow and try already puts him ahead of most newbies.

You’ll never make it big with an ant-sized position, but if you dare to go all in on the right direction, your story can change. The real “big meat” is always hiding in the moments when everyone else hesitates.
