Jinsei Caijing reported that Tether is supporting the development of a new type of industrial humanoid robots, which will take on dangerous and physically demanding tasks in factories and logistics centers. The stablecoin issuer participated, alongside AMD Ventures, the Italian government-backed AI fund, and other investors, in a €70 million funding round for Generative Bionics (, a startup spun out from the Polytechnic Institute of Italy).

This company, which was founded just a year ago, is developing humanoid robots with physical artificial intelligence designed to operate in environments made for humans and handle lifting, transportation, and routine tasks that are difficult for traditional mechanical arms to perform.

For Tether, this investment is part of a strategy described by CEO Paolo Ardoino as "a shift towards supporting digital and physical infrastructure."
