SWIFT officially announced: Partnering with 30+ leading global banks to use Blockchain for 24/7 cross-border transfers.

This is not just a concept; it is a real action with real money - the International Bank Messaging Association SWIFT and ConsenSys are collaborating to develop a blockchain-based ledger system. The goal is to eliminate the current inefficient international remittance process.

What level of participation are we seeing? G-SIBs (Globally Systemically Important Banks) like JPMorgan, Bank of America, and Citigroup are all involved. Currently, banks from 16 countries are providing feedback from testing.

Looking at it from another angle, what does this mean? The big players in traditional finance have finally admitted - Blockchain indeed has advantages in this matter. SWIFT processes $150 trillion in cross-border transactions every year, and if they really get this system up and running, the rules of the game for international payments may be rewritten.

There are also signals from BTC: it rebounded from a low point to $112,300 yesterday, and a large number of shorts in the derivatives market were liquidated. The market is waiting to see how much imagination this kind of heavy policy landing can bring.

In plain terms, this wave of operations reflects that the financial system's attitude towards Blockchain underlying technology has shifted from "defensive" to "proactive attack".
