Children's Art Goes Digital: Gate Charity Presents "City on the Back of a Whale" NFT Event to Protect Whales in Gold Coast"

Gate Charity, the global non-profit philanthropic organization of Gate Group, and Miao Miao Chinese School are teaming up to host the charity event, “City on the Back of a Whale,” on 13 August, 2023, in Gold Coast, Australia.

Whales, as vital contributors to the Earth’s ecological balance, play a crucial role in absorbing carbon dioxide and maintaining our environment. To raise awareness about whale conservation, Gate Charity initiated this event to showcase children’s creativity through drawings themed around whales and cities.

During the drawing class, 10-20 children from Miao Miao Chinese School will express their imagination and connection with nature through vibrant artwork. These drawings will be transformed into NFTs on the Gate NFT platform later, with all sales proceeds dedicated to supporting the Miao Miao Chinese School Gold Coast Campus’ whale protection projects, including research, education, and environmental preservation efforts.

Gate Charity has achieved great success in previous charitable activities, raising over $400,000 USD for projects in Vietnam, India, Turkey, the Philippines, and Japan. By transforming children’s artwork into NFTs, the event not only emphasizes the importance of whales but also conveys a message of love and responsibility for nature.
