Tencent Cloud responds to OpenClaw billing dispute: installation is free, but calling large models incurs Token fees

Summary of Tencent Cloud's response regarding security issues related to OpenClaw and Tencent "Lobster"
Tencent Cloud stated that the high fees incurred by users are from historical model calls, and that OpenClaw installation is free, but using large models will generate Token fees.
According to Gate News, on March 11, Tencent Cloud issued a statement addressing security issues related to OpenClaw and Tencent "Lobster".
In response to questions about "whether OpenClaw will excessively charge users," Tencent Cloud explained that a screenshot circulating on social platforms shows a user who, after installing OpenClaw during Tencent Cloud's charity installation event, incurred high fees, totaling over 200 RMB.
After backend investigation and verification, this over 200 RMB was found to be from the user's previous historical model calls.
Tencent Cloud emphasized that installing OpenClaw itself is free, but if large models are called during use, Token fees will be incurred.
Currently, almost all Agent tools are in a similar situation. #Gate蓝龙虾重磅上线
