I have seen many discussions about decentralized storage, so I took a deep dive into the Walrus project. To be honest, the underlying technical design ideas are quite interesting.
This is a storage protocol built on the Sui chain, targeting data infrastructure in the AI era. Traditional cloud storage is costly and prone to centralized censorship, which are old problems. Walrus uses a combination of erasure coding and blob storage, enabling it to write various files onto the chain at very low costs, with a good balance of security and economic efficiency.
From a transactional perspective, the WAL token has recently fluctuated around 0.14 yuan. As a native project in the Sui ecosystem and still in the early stages of the AI data track, there is indeed long-term potential. The project team also airdropped tokens early on, which from a community growth perspective is a decent move.
Of course, there are many participants in the decentralized storage space. Whether Walrus can stand out in the competition depends on the development momentum of the Sui ecosystem itself and the project's subsequent iteration pace.

Basically, it's another storage dream parasitizing the Sui ecosystem. The technology is indeed solid, but I've heard this story too many times. Erasure coding sounds advanced, but in the 0.14 yuan fluctuation of WAL, how many investors actually profit? Airdrops and user acquisition are just routine land-grabbing tactics; don't be fooled by this narrative.

You want me to get in at 0.14? It also depends on whether Sui can take off.

Try bottom-fishing at 0.14 yuan? If the Sui ecosystem takes off, it might multiply several times.

Haha, another amazing project in the Sui ecosystem. Erasure coding sounds impressive, but can it really be implemented in practice?
