ETH recent price action is somewhat at a loss for words — between ups and downs, there seems to be no middle ground.

Asset management giant VanEck released an Ethereum price prediction as early as last year, and their conclusion was: by 2030, ETH price could fluctuate between $360 and $22,000, and under extremely optimistic assumptions, it could even touch $154,000.

To understand it from another angle — in a pessimistic scenario, ETH would drop back to three digits; in an optimistic scenario, it would skyrocket. This ultra-wide range from floor to ceiling sounds very professional, but it's essentially using "anything is possible" to hedge risks. Since everything is correct, that also means nothing was really said.

You'll find that such predictions have nearly zero practical guidance value for actual decision-making. Because essentially, this is saying Ethereum either fails completely or succeeds to the point of restructuring the entire financial system — and nobody can give a definite answer to what happens in between.

But conversely, this precisely illustrates Ethereum's true situation right now: it's no longer a question of "how many times can it appreciate," but a more fundamental question — in the future core financial system, does Ethereum have a place at all? This is the real gamble.
