Are OpenAI and Anthropic Going Public Next Year? The Battle for the First AI Stock Behind a $300 Billion Valuation

robot
Abstract generation in progress

In early December, news emerged that next year could see the most “high-profile” IPO showdown in the tech world: both OpenAI and Anthropic are accelerating their push toward going public.

Reportedly, Anthropic, the parent company of Claude, has already engaged the law firm Wilson Sonsini to make preparations and could launch its IPO as early as next year. What’s more astonishing is that they are currently negotiating a round of private financing, with valuations possibly exceeding $300 billion. With this number out, the race with OpenAI for the title of “first AI stock” is heating up even more.

To be honest, AI infrastructure and large models are still at a very early stage, and valuations are bound to fluctuate dramatically. But if these leading companies do go public, the entire ecosystem of computing power, chips, data, and applications will likely be set in motion.

For regular investors, in the future it may be worth considering participating in the US and Hong Kong AI industrial chains through stablecoin channels, and flexibly responding to “AI + crypto” dual-theme opportunities by combining spot and derivatives tools for digital assets. That said, this hot sector is highly volatile, so be sure to manage your position sizes and leverage carefully—don’t get swept up and chase the highs out of emotion.

$300 billion? Oh my, that valuation is outrageous... Early-stage projects dare to hype like this --- Wait, both companies are going public? Chip stocks are probably going to soar --- Is this for real? They're already IPOing? The AI bubble is in full swing --- Anthropic is on fire, that's for sure, but I think the future industry chain is where the real value lies --- Hold on, going public this early—what if it crashes hard later? --- $300 billion... that's hard to believe, who would buy that? --- Industry chain layout sounds good, but you have to pick the right timing, folks --- Both companies fighting to be the first IPO? Feels like a money-burning game --- Chips will definitely take off, that's for sure --- Such a high valuation this early—what does that mean? Bubble, obviously

$300 billion? That valuation is insane, hyping things up right before the IPO as usual. --- If OpenAI and Anthropic really go head-to-head, retail investors will be the ones left holding the bag, haha. --- The "first AI stock"... just talk, that's all. With such a big bubble, it's bound to burst sooner or later. --- The industry chain is indeed moving, but can these two companies' valuations hold up until the IPO? I have my doubts. --- Chip companies must be laughing; these two competing is basically just handing them money. --- Using stablecoin channels to play the US stock market? I just want to know where the risks are. --- IPO next year, break issue next year. I bet five bucks on it. --- They're daring to give a $300 billion valuation? The capital markets have truly gone crazy. --- Wait, is it still in time to invest in AI infrastructure now, or is it already too late?

300 billion? This valuation is probably way overhyped. We'll see the real deal next year. Claude is making aggressive moves, while Sora is still dragging its feet. Valuing this high at such an early stage is pure gambler mentality. The battle for the top AI stock is just a game for capital; it's hard for retail investors like us to even get crumbs. When will chips take off too? That's what really matters. Let's wait for the IPO to drop below issue price before talking—don't buy in at the top. If they get 300 billion now, who will step up for the next round of funding? That's a real concern.
