[Featured Stock] Xgate, NVIDIA publicly releases quantum AI highlighting quantum security... consecutive 3 trading days limit-up
Xgate has hit the daily limit-up for three consecutive trading days due to expanding expectations for quantum security needs. With NVIDIA publicly utilizing AI models based on quantum computing technology, expectations for the commercialization of quantum computers have strengthened. Market analysis believes this has prompted funds to flow into companies with security technologies such as quantum-resistant cryptography.
During the morning session, Xgate traded at 16,870 won, up 29.97% from the previous day. After 14th and 15th, today continues the streak of sharp gains.
The market views NVIDIA’s publicly announced quantum computing AI model, “Ising,” as a stock price catalyst. NVIDIA said the technology can be used to address calibration and error correction issues of quantum processors, enabling quantum error correction speed to improve by up to 2.5 times and accuracy to improve by 3 times. Given its potential to reduce the high error rates—seen as the biggest obstacle to the commercialization of quantum computers—this has boosted overall expectations for related industries.
Previously, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang had essentially retracted the original forecast that “the commercialization of quantum computers will still take at least 20 years.” In addition, recent market concerns that quantum computers could render existing encryption systems ineffective have intensified. Attention toward quantum-resistant cryptography (PQC) and companies related to quantum encrypted communication has increased.
Xgate is a network security solutions company established in 2010 and listed on the Kosdaq market in 2023. The company offers information security products such as VPNs, firewalls, and unified threat management, and conducts business to respond to threats posed by quantum computers through quantum VPNs that use applications of QRNG and PQC.
Previously, the market had already listed as reasons to buy Xgate the expansion of AI hacker threats, the growing expectations for quantum cryptography security demand, and experiences such as collaborating with SK Telecom to develop a quantum encrypted communication VPN.
