🇮🇷🇦🇪 Iran warns UAE may face large-scale retaliation campaigns if the U.S. launches a ground invasion - Middle East Eye
Tehran stated that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is actively participating in the U.S. and Israel’s war against Iran and may face large-scale retaliation campaigns if a ground invasion is initiated, according to two senior Iranian sources speaking to Middle East Eye.
Officials said UAE facilities have been used to support operations against Iran, in addition to providing intelligence and targeting advanced infrastructure within the UAE.
Iranian officials warned that any attack launched from UAE territory would lead to an immediate response, with strikes not limited to military and intelligence sites but also including state and commercial assets.
This warning comes as Washington is considering a potential ground campaign near strategic locations such as the Strait of Hormuz, closely monitoring military deployments and regional bases in Tehran.
Since the drone attack, Iran has bombed energy infrastructure, ports, and other sites in Gulf countries while avoiding full escalation with countries hosting U.S. forces.
Officials stated that this restraint would end as soon as any ground invasion begins, and any participating country would be regarded as a direct aggressor.
