Gate Crypto Card Application Guide

1. Which countries are eligible for a Gate Crypto Card?

Gate users living in selected markets can apply for Gate Crypto Card. If you are not residents of these markets, you are not able to get a Gate Crypto Card for now. We will soon open to more markets, and if you are interested, you can join our waitlist first.

2. How to apply for a Gate Crypto Card

Four steps to apply for a Gate Crypto Card:

Step 1: Visit Gate Card page or visit Gate Card via App (registered with Gate account first if you are new to Gate user)

Step 2: Pass Gate UAB KYC

Step 3: Start Gate Crypto Card application with personal information (You can choose to apply virtual card only, or virtual card with physical card together; If you are using iOS device to apply for Gate Crypto Card, make sure you have updated to latest Gate app to be able to apply for virtual card). Please note: As of September 22, 2025, Gate Card physical cards have been fully discontinued. You may apply for a virtual card instead, and a new card product will be launched soon—stay tuned.

Step 4: If you apply for a physical card, just wait for Gate Crypto Card delivery and activate the card; If you apply for a virtual card, you can directly activate the card in Gate App or web.

Here are the detailed steps for the card application:

Step 1: Visiting the Gate Card page on the web directly;

Or visiting Gate website, Hovering over [Buy Crypto] in the top navigation bar and clicking Gate Card; or finding Gate Card in the footer of Gate
Or you can log in to Gate app, you can find "Gate Crypto Card" under the "Finance" sector when you click your Gate profile logo

Step 2: Pass Gate UAB KYC

If you are in one of the eligible countries for a Gate Crypto Card, you can start to identify the verification process to pass the Gate UAB KYC process; if you have already passed Gate UAB KYC, you can skip this step.
- First, you have to bind your phone number, email and start the KYC process.
To pass the Identify Verification process, you start by filling in your name, personal information and residential address.
Pass ID identification by submitting your ID copies and pass the liveness check, and wait for KYC review result

Step 3: Start Gate Crypto Card application with personal information

If you have passed Gate UAB KYC, you can check your email for KYC pass confirmation message and click the link to continue the application step. You can also directly visit the Gate Card page to continue the application process by clicking "Apply for Gate Crypto Card" on the page.
First, choose the name to display on your card. The name should be within 21 characters in English letters. Once confirmed, click "Next"
Confirm the residential address, and as the residential address will be used as the card delivery address, make sure you have the right address input, including post code. Click "Physical card" if you want to get a physical card now, and the physical card will be mailed to your shipping address. Before receiving the physical card, you can use the virtual card first, and both virtual card and physical card will share the same card number. The virtual card is set as default card to be issued.
After clicking "Submit, your card application will be under review. The review process will usually takes just a few minutes, unless there are some information that needs to be reviewed further, but it won't take more than 3-5 days.
After your application is approved, you will receive a confirmation email from Gate. You can start to activate and use your virtual card right away while waiting for your physical card to be delivered.

3. For physical card, how long will I receive my Gate Crypto Card?

Depending on your country of residence, usually it takes around 7 to 15 days, and if you haven't got the card after 45 days. If you didn't get your physical card, please follow this guide.

4. Can I get an additional card for myself or a member of my family?

While we appreciate your interest, please note that the Gate Crypto Card is a Visa debit card, not a credit card. As part of our service, we provide one card per account.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate requests for additional cards for relatives, as some bank accounts might allow. If a family member is interested in having their own Gate Crypto Card, they would need to open a Gate account individually and apply for the card. This ensures that each account holder has a personalised experience with us.
