On March 13, according to a recent survey conducted by CNN and SSRS, Americans are not satisfied with Trump's economic management, putting him at a disadvantage in dealing with America's most important issues. With the market downturn, investors are concerned about Trump's trade policies, with 56% of the public disapproving of his handling of the economy, worse than at any time during his first term. In contrast, 51% now say they approve of his work on immigration issues, mainly due to stricter enforcement, which is 7 percentage points higher than at any time during his first term. So far, Americans have serious disagreements about Trump's performance in handling the federal budget and managing the federal government—48% approve, while about half do not. Ratings for his work on healthcare policy (43%), foreign affairs (42%), and tariffs (39%) are lower. Currently, Trump's overall job approval rating is 45%, with a disapproval rating of 54%, consistent with the numbers he saw in March 2017 and equal to his highest approval rating in his first term.(Jinshi)
