Just realized hosting a New Year's Eve party doesn't have to drain your wallet, even with grocery prices being ridiculous lately. Been checking out what stores actually have decent new year food deals right now, and honestly some of these are pretty solid.

Started with the obvious stuff - appetizers. BJ's has these uncured beef franks wrapped in puff pastry for like $18, and one pack serves 12 people. Literally just throw them in the oven for a few minutes and you're done. Way easier than prepping from scratch. Also grabbed a charcuterie board from Walmart for around $14 - comes with everything already on it, salami, cheese, olives, crackers. Cheaper than buying it all separately.

For the snacking part, grabbed a two-pack of Tostitos and Ruffles chips from BJ's for under $9. People always go for chips first anyway, so might as well stock up. Found these fully-cooked meatballs at Walmart for like $8.50 - just heat them up and serve. Takes two minutes.

Desserts were actually where I found the best new year food deals. Costco has brownie bites for under $9, and BJ's has this whole cheesecake sampler for $20 that's actually impressive. Grabbed some sparkling cider too since not everyone drinks alcohol at these things.

Honestly if you're planning a party and watching your budget, these new year food deals actually make it doable. Whole spread came in way under what I expected to spend.
