Last night I saw that my on-chain transaction was stuck in the mempool, queuing up—like a delivery that arrives downstairs but doesn’t come up… When the network is congested, you think clicking “send” is all it takes, but actually you’ve entered an auction: if you set a low gas fee, you get front-run; if you set it high, you feel bad about the cost. Anyway, don’t be too confident. What’s more annoying is that while you’re watching pending transactions, you start imagining “Will I get front-run or sandwich attacked,” and everyone gets anxious.
Later, I simply set a reminder/limit for myself: if the gas exceeds a certain point, I won’t chase it; I’ll just leave the transaction hanging. Strangely enough, after setting that, I felt much more relaxed—at least I don’t have to refresh my wallet every 10 seconds. If I lose, I accept it; don’t let emotions get buried in the blocks.
The recent talk about on-chain games’ inflation, studios, and coin price spirals has been brought up again—actually, it’s a bit like traffic congestion: everyone’s squeezing into the same road, and in the end, no one can move. Only the transaction fees and anxiety keep rising… I’ll keep digging into the materials; my instant noodles have gone cold.
