Rakuten Group in Japan adds XRP payment feature in Rakuten Pay app
ME News Report, April 15 (UTC+8), Japan’s e-commerce group Rakuten announced the integration of XRP into its Rakuten Pay app, supporting approximately 44 million users to use it as a payment method. The service is available at over 5 million merchants in Japan. Users can conduct XRP spot trading, purchase XRP with Rakuten points, and hold the asset in Rakuten Wallet. Previously, Rakuten had supported cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Bitcoin Cash for payments. (Source: MLion)
