On April 6th, Hu Yongsheng’s team from the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, published a groundbreaking achievement in Nature Energy: the team successfully developed a self-protecting, polymerizable non-flammable electrolyte (PNE), achieving complete prevention of thermal runaway in an anode-scale sodium-ion battery for the first time worldwide.
