Hainan: Starting April 1, employees contributing to the housing provident fund can apply to withdraw housing provident fund to pay for the purchase of their children's first home.

The Hainan Provincial Housing Provident Fund Management Bureau has issued a notice that depositors’ families who have no outstanding housing provident fund loans (including interest subsidy loans) in our province, and whose children purchase their first home in our province (new commercial housing or second-hand self-occupied housing) starting April 1, 2026, can apply to withdraw housing provident fund to pay for the house within one year from the registration of the new commercial housing purchase contract or within one year from the issuance of the property ownership certificate for the second-hand house. This notice will be implemented from April 1, 2026, and will be valid for two years.
