On March 27, Richard Tice, Vice Chairman of the Reform UK movement and spokesperson for business, trade, energy, and housing, stated in an interview with Bloomberg that new technologies such as stablecoins can help prevent financial fraud. “Fraud always exists, but we need to make it more difficult for them to commit these acts—especially with the advancements in technology, blockchain, and tokenization, tracking the flow of funds should become easier,” Tice said. “Can we somehow track, intercept, or settle these funds before they leave UK sovereign territory?
