What is the deeper motivation behind the company’s public announcement?

On March 18, a company in Shenzhen announced that its former vice president Cheng (female) and another company’s former vice president He (male) had been dismissed before the Spring Festival. The reasons given were “collusion with external parties to embezzle assets” and “engaging in inappropriate conduct in the office that disrupts social order and morals.”

The announcement stated that Cheng (female), former vice president of Jinhangbiao Electronics, and He (male), former vice president of Sako Micro Semiconductor, had been dismissed before the Spring Festival. The main reasons were first, that virtual agent Desenlight’s Luo and Huanyu Xinkeo’s Yuan colluded to embezzle company assets, and second, that they were caught engaging in inappropriate conduct in the office, severely disrupting social order and morals, affecting workplace atmosphere, and violating national laws and regulations. The company is holding them criminally responsible. The announcement urges all sectors of society to be aware of their legal and moral risks, and anyone who discovers criminal clues about them should report to us for verification and will be rewarded. The announcement is signed by Shenzhen Jinhangbiao Electronics Co., Ltd. and has the official seal.

According to Yangzi Evening News, a reporter contacted Jinhangbiao Electronics, and a staff member confirmed that the announcement was issued by the company, but regarding the specific situations mentioned about “embezzling company assets” and “inappropriate conduct,” the staff member stated they were not clear.

On the morning of the 19th, a Jimu News reporter called the general manager’s office of Shenzhen Jinhangbiao Electronics Co., Ltd. A staff member stated that the announcement was indeed issued by the company, and the relevant personnel had been dismissed. If anyone has information to report, it can be sent directly to the company’s email. The staff member stated that a reward would be given if the clues were verified as true.

Jimu News reporters found that Shenzhen Jinhangbiao Electronics Co., Ltd. was established on June 18, 2007, and is a company whose main business is the BeiDou industry, focusing on the research and manufacture of RF antenna electronic connectors. The other company mentioned in the announcement is Shenzhen Sako Micro Semiconductor Co., Ltd., established in 2015, focusing on semiconductor research and manufacture, and is a national high-tech enterprise integrating design research and development, production, and sales services. The legal representative and general manager of both companies are the same person, and they are registered at the same address. Jimu News reporters found on both companies’ official websites that employees from both companies often hold team-building and training activities together.

The content of the above announcement indicates that the recipients are the company’s clients and friends. Due to the announcement’s content involving personal privacy, some netizens have questioned its appropriateness. Lawyer Fu Chengchen from Hubei Today Law Firm believes that the company’s announcement should be seen as a damage control measure, and whether the announcement infringes on personal privacy should be evaluated based on specific circumstances. If the two facts mentioned in the announcement are not true or objective, the parties involved can seek to protect their rights.
