The case has entered a stage with a clear schedule for progress. However, this ruling by the UK High Court does not address substantive issues such as asset ownership but is a procedural management decision. It designates Fieldfisher as the phased leading law firm for all 281 applicants. Fieldfisher will represent all 281 applicants in the upcoming “Applicable Law Issues” court hearing in July 2026, issuing instructions to the barristers for unified statements and debates. Tianjin Lantian Grey Company (through the litigation receiver) is not included in this representation. The High Court also ruled that the phased leading law firm shall establish and maintain an official register of the 281 applicants, which will be submitted to the court and shared with the UK prosecution and relevant legal teams.
