The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) and the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly promote horse racing tourism at the “Two Places, Three Racecourses” (Hong Kong’s Happy Valley Racecourse, Sha Tin Racecourse, and Guangzhou Conghua Racecourse). This initiative supports Guangzhou in building a world-class tourism city and strengthens Hong Kong’s position as the Asian hub for major events.

According to the memorandum, the HKJC and Guangzhou’s Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism agree to fully leverage the advantages of the “Two Places, Three Racecourses” in Guangzhou and Hong Kong to promote horse-themed cultural and sports tourism in the Greater Bay Area, boosting the region’s event economy and sports consumption.

The cooperation between both parties covers four main areas: policy support, promotion and marketing, development of horse racing tourism products, and industry support.
