Spring Festival Travel Rush Day 25: Cross-Regional Personnel Flow Nationwide Estimated to Exceed 222 Million Trips
According to the Ministry of Transport, on February 26 (the 25th day of the Spring Festival travel period, the tenth day of the lunar new year), the total cross-regional passenger flow is expected to reach 222 million trips, a 3.8% decrease compared to the previous period, but a 5.2% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Among them: railway passenger volume is expected to be 15.65 million trips, an 8% decrease from the previous period, but a 9.8% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Road traffic (including non-commercial private car trips on highways and ordinary national and provincial roads, as well as commercial road passenger transport) is expected to reach 203 million trips, a 3.4% decrease from the previous period, but a 4.8% increase compared to 2025. Specifically, commercial road passenger volume is expected to be 32.38 million trips, a 2.2% decrease from the previous period, but a 4.7% increase compared to 2025; non-commercial private car trips on highways and ordinary national and provincial roads are expected to be 170 million trips, a 3.6% decrease from the previous period, but a 4.8% increase compared to 2025. Waterway passenger volume is expected to be 840,000 trips, a 14.2% decrease from the previous period, but a 19.5% increase compared to 2025.
