IT House February 26 News, Alphabet’s robotics software company Intrinsic announced on the local time of the 25th that it will merge into Google. Intrinsic will continue to operate as an independent team within Google, accelerating the development of physical AI.

IT House learned that Intrinsic was originally one of the many projects incubated by Alphabet X, the “moonshot factory,” and was upgraded to an independent company in 2021.

Intrinsic has built a world-class intelligent robot platform for enterprise clients, and joining Google means it can further deepen collaboration with Google’s internal teams such as DeepMind, Gemini, and Cloud, improve resource utilization, and shorten the distance for physical AI from laboratory to factory.

Wendy Tan White, CEO of Intrinsic, said:

"The Intrinsic team has been dedicated for years to democratizing access to intelligent robots, enabling more people to build and benefit from robot applications.

With Google’s incredible AI and infrastructure, we will unlock the potential of physical AI for a broader range of manufacturing companies and developers. This will fundamentally transform production, shifting from an economy to operations, and achieve truly advanced manufacturing."
