Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the National Energy Administration Song Hongkun attended and delivered a speech, with Regulatory Director Liang Changxin presiding over the meeting. The meeting pointed out that in 2026, the National Energy Administration will thoroughly implement the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the State Council regarding the construction of a unified national electricity market and strengthening regulation of natural monopoly sectors. In accordance with the requirements of the “General Office of the State Council on Improving the Implementation of the National Unified Electricity Market System,” the agency will adhere to goal-oriented and problem-oriented approaches, deepen the construction of the unified national electricity market, strengthen energy security and supply regulation, promote the effective implementation of policies for green energy transformation, and reinforce key regulatory work such as market order and natural monopoly sectors. The meeting emphasized that this year marks the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan.
