Finnish President: Finland Will Not Deploy Nuclear Weapons

People’s Financial News, March 13 — According to reports on the 13th local time, Finnish President Sauli Niinistö stated at a press conference held at the Presidential Palace, “Finland will not become a nuclear-weapon state, and Finland will not deploy nuclear weapons.” When asked whether Finland might deploy nuclear weapons during peacetime, Niinistö said, “Finland does not need nuclear weapons during peacetime.” He added that there is no reason to worry about Finland becoming a nuclear-weapon state, “What we are currently doing is updating our NATO membership status.
