Philip Morris International updates segment reporting structure and posts recast data
Philip Morris International has updated its organizational and reporting structure from four geographic segments to three new reportable segments: International Smoke-Free, International Combustibles, and U.S., effective January 1, 2026. This change is part of an evolved organizational model and the company has posted recast historical shipment volume and financial information for 2023, 2024, and 2025 to reflect this new structure, without affecting previously reported consolidated financial positions. The company also introduced “Corporate expenses and other” in its consolidated statement of earnings, and InvestingPro analysis suggests the stock is currently overvalued.
