Kroger, a major grocery store chain, is in the process of closing 60 stores nationwide, a plan initially announced in June 2025. While 30 stores have already been shuttered across several states, none of these closures have affected Michigan, where Kroger operates 121 stores. The company states these closures target underperforming locations to improve long-term financial health.
