Apple announces reduction of commission fees on the China App Store

Deep Tide TechFlow News, March 13 — According to Jin10 Data, Apple announced a reduction in commission rates today, as follows: After discussions with Chinese regulatory authorities, Apple will make adjustments to the Chinese App Store. Starting March 15, 2026, the commission rates for the iOS and iPadOS App Store in Mainland China will be adjusted. The standard commission rate for in-app purchases and paid apps will be reduced from the current 30% to 25%. The commission rate for in-app purchases under the App Store Small Business Program and Mini Apps Partner Program, as well as the commission rate for auto-renewing subscriptions after the first year, will be reduced from 15% to 12%. From March 15 onward, developers will enjoy these adjusted rates without needing to sign new terms beforehand.
