Youth fears not the passage of time, for glory awaits beyond the horizon.

A sentence from “The Moon and the Mountain” has left a deep impression on me to this day.
I fear that I am not a fine jade, so I dare not endure the hard polishing. Yet I half believe I am a beautiful jade, so I refuse to mingle with mediocrity and rubble. Thus, I gradually detach from the mortal world, distance myself from others, and as a result, frustration and shame grow stronger, and my inner cowardice deepens.
We are always afraid and hesitant, yet unwilling to be ordinary. We fear the unknown ahead, so we keep stopping, wavering, and hesitating, trembling and lost. This repeated tug-of-war with our self-esteem ultimately leads us to mediocrity. In this world, everyone has their own destiny and their own brilliance.
If Heaven doesn’t give you hardships, how can you see through life? If it doesn’t give you failure, how can you discover the truth of human affairs?
Many times, perhaps all we need is determination. Even if the road ahead is shrouded in white fog, the future is not fixed. The path we must take is still long, so we must not hesitate. Take a bold step—whether it’s fine jade or rubble—because brave attempts mean no regrets.
Without experiencing wind and rain, you cannot understand the vicissitudes of life; without human interactions, you cannot see through the world’s true nature. Between ups and downs, prosperity and decline, those with a heart will find their own answers.
On this journey, we will realize our own insignificance, but also discover our strength. We may go through many hardships, taste all the flavors of the world, but one day, everything we experience will transform into our own energy.
The long road is not smooth; rugged peaks and valleys are numerous. The future is not always joyful; disappointment and lows are inevitable. Do not deny yourself because of temporary pain, nor stop moving forward because of difficulties on the way.
We must always believe that the road is long and arduous, but perseverance will lead us to the destination. Each station has its own scenery; use ordinary life to sketch the trajectory ahead. People must keep growing and constantly accept all things in the world.
May we be brave and strong, optimistic and open-minded. We can endure the bumps along the path of growth and face the twists and turns of life’s journey. Besides trivialities and monotony, life also offers delicious food and countless blooming flowers.
The evening breeze awakens the soul; everything is hidden in the heart. Though the road is winding, the future remains bright.
