UN: At Least 6,000 People Killed During Rapid Support Forces' Capture of Al-Fashir in Sudan

On February 13th local time, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights of the United Nations released a report stating that the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan killed at least 6,000 civilians during their takeover of the capital of North Darfur State, El Fasher, at the end of last year. The report indicated that within the first three days of the Rapid Support Forces’ occupation of El Fasher, at least 6,000 civilian deaths occurred in the city and surrounding areas, with about 4,400 people dying in the city and approximately 1,600 killed while fleeing El Fasher.
