The Economic Observer reports that Verizon Communications released its earnings forecast on January 30, 2026, highlighting several noteworthy events. These include an expected increase of 750,000 to 1 million new retail postpaid mobile users in 2026, compared to 362,000 in 2025; adjusted earnings per share projected between $4.90 and $4.95, surpassing market expectations; and free cash flow estimated to reach at least $21.5 billion. Additionally, the company plans to focus on the integration of wireless and broadband services. Thanks to the acquisition of Frontier Communications and the expansion of fiber assets, fixed wireless access and fiber broadband connections have exceeded 16.3 million. Verizon CEO Hans Vestberg stated that the company will streamline operations (including layoffs of over 13,000 employees) to reduce costs and drive business restructuring.
