Mass Production of Ultra-High Strength Carbon Fiber, Zhongfu Shenying Achieves "20cm" Daily Limit Up
On March 12, the chemical fiber sector opened higher across the board, with industry leader China National Chemical Fiber Group’s Zhongfu Shenying hitting the 20cm limit-up at 43.25 yuan, with a total market value of 38.93 billion yuan. Meanwhile, Jilin Chemical Fiber, Taihe New Materials, Sanfangxiang, and others also hit the daily limit-up.
Behind the market frenzy is a breakthrough in high-performance carbon fiber technology.
On the news front, on the 11th, Zhongfu Shenying announced the release of SYT80 (T1200 grade) ultra-high-strength carbon fiber, achieving production at the hundred-ton level. This is also the world’s first T1200-grade carbon fiber product to achieve industrial-scale mass production.
It is understood that carbon fiber is known as the “King of New Materials” and “Black Gold,” a key material for developing high-tech industries, with applications in aerospace, low-altitude economy, humanoid robots, and more. SYT80 is the strongest material on Earth, with a single filament diameter only 1/10 of a human hair, tensile strength ten times that of ordinary steel, and a density only a quarter of steel, breaking the monopoly of international giants in the high-end carbon fiber field.
According to the Chemical Fiber Industry Association, China’s carbon fiber industry is currently developing strongly. By 2025, China’s carbon fiber production is expected to reach about 90,000 tons, accounting for roughly 50% of the world’s total capacity; consumption is approximately 96,446 tons, a year-on-year increase of 71.89%. Market forecasts suggest that global demand for carbon fiber will exceed 680,000 tons by 2030.
Additionally, the scaled development of commercial spaceflight is also driving continuous growth in carbon fiber demand. CICC Securities’ research report states that lightweighting is at the core of cost competitiveness in commercial spaceflight, and high-performance carbon fiber perfectly meets this requirement, becoming the mainstream structural material for spacecraft. Commercial spaceflight has entered a stage of scaled development, and high-performance carbon fiber is expected to enter a new cycle of price and volume increases.
As a leader in the carbon fiber industry, Zhongfu Shenying will benefit deeply from this trend. Data shows that Zhongfu Shenying is affiliated with China National Building Material Group, focusing on high-performance carbon fiber production, with existing capacity of 29,000 tons and under-construction capacity of 31,000 tons, ranking among the top in the world. Its dry-jet wet spinning high-performance carbon fiber capacity is the first in China, with products covering 1K-48K, achieving a full range from T700 to T1100, and M35X to M60J grades.
The performance quick report indicates that, thanks to continuous optimization of product structure and industry recovery factors, Zhongfu Shenying’s performance has significantly improved. In 2025, the full-year revenue is expected to reach 2.195 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 40.97%; net profit attributable to shareholders is projected at 96.66 million yuan, turning profitable; non-recurring net profit also turned positive, reaching 69.13 million yuan. As of the end of 2025, the company’s total assets reached 10.485 billion yuan, an increase of 12.05% from the beginning of the year.
