Fifteen states have sued the Department of Health and Human Services over changes to the childhood immunization schedule, which reduced the routine schedule from 17 to 11 diseases and removed COVID-19 vaccines for healthy children and pregnant women. While these changes threaten vaccine sales for major manufacturers like Pfizer, Moderna, and Merck, a legal expert believes these companies will likely avoid directly supporting the states’ legal challenge due to public unpopularity.
