Google is actively developing its artificial intelligence processor (TPU) business. According to Jinse Finance sources and based on information from The Information portal, the tech giant has terminated a significant partnership agreement with Fluidstack, a provider of cloud infrastructure services.

Under this agreement, Google is expected to provide Fluidstack with a financial guarantee of $3.2 billion. This guarantee is primarily intended to cover the lease payments necessary for the construction of a new data center in New York City.

Intensifying Competition in the Cloud Market

This deal is part of Google’s strategic efforts to expand its cloud services. TPU technology plays a crucial role in training and running artificial intelligence models. Specifically, the rapidly growing demand in generative AI and machine learning sectors is compelling Google to strengthen its supply chain and maintain a competitive edge.

The partnership with Fluidstack is not just a lease agreement but also a demonstration of Google’s policy to expand the TPU market and offer high-efficiency services through more providers.
