Recently, there has been an interesting phenomenon in the market: a leading exchange foundation has started directly deploying resources into meme coins like Binance Life and My Damn Come. This is not an implication; it’s a clear message to everyone—the platform’s resource allocation is shifting.
Taking Binance Life as an example, as the most prominent meme project, if we measure it based on the highest valuation of ORDI back then, it doesn’t seem that unreasonable. What does this indicate? It shows that the market is indeed voting with its feet.
Interestingly, a major platform now seems to be genuinely following the market trend rather than forcing users to believe in certain narratives. Compared to those VC projects with whitepapers that boast extravagantly—unlimited unlocking, unlimited dumping, and no bottom line for retail investors—the gameplay of meme coins is more straightforward: traffic, IP, persona, consensus, with rules laid out openly.
There is a very practical difference here: the risks of VC projects often come from insider information and opaque profit distribution, making retail investors easy targets for manipulation. Although meme coins are volatile, the logic of profit and loss is transparent, which strangely creates a sense of fairness for retail investors.
From a business perspective, if a major platform allocates resources to top meme coins and reactivates the market’s earning potential, it’s a win-win for the platform itself—users make money, market activity increases, and the ecosystem comes alive. This logic is much more reliable than blindly promoting VC projects.
The trend is definitely changing. The opportunity in the Solana ecosystem this wave is worth paying attention to.
