I disagree with the idea that becoming a KOL requires playing someone else; only by being yourself can you gain traffic. My subjective feeling is quite the opposite, and this is actually the main reason for the low quality of Chinese Web3 content on Twitter right now.
Every day, I open Twitter and see too many people treating being a KOL as just looking for a job. They write content that disrespects their own time and also disrespects the readers' time, tarnishing the very idea of being a KOL. If people are willing to spend time watching your content, it means they love your soul. They invest their time and attention, and you should be responsible for them—helping them make money and learn skills. Otherwise, they'll go love someone else's soul.
Do you remember what content you wanted to see on Twitter when you first joined? Wasn't it to make more money? Now on Twitter, every day is about girl fights, AI copywriting, sucking up to project teams, posting selfies, kissing, Elizabeth falsely donating—these topics are so unnutritious that they have been criticized across the internet for 2-3 days. Don't you have any deals in your hands? Offline events in Dubai, Ethereum crashing 3 points—these damn KOLs are still drinking and dancing. Few are even looking at their phones.
To make it clearer, many KOLs on Twitter basically know that they can't make money by trading coins or scraping profits, so they treat being a KOL as just a job and look for another way out. They let their poor brothers gamble, while they just eat traffic revenue and get away with it. Do you, as readers, feel respected?
KOLs, like in the entertainment and sports industries, are top traffic winners who eat up all the benefits. When you're outstanding compared to others, just focus on being yourself and you can make money standing up. No need to kneel, no need to care about others' feelings—others will adapt to you naturally. Your true soul must be talented, humorous, witty, capable of making people money and learning skills, and have strong market competitiveness to deserve top-tier traffic.
Whether you're a KOL or in another industry, you must insist on being yourself. Some people's lives are always filled with dominance and arrogance.
