The A-shares market was quite lively this morning. The Shenzhen Component Index rose over 1%, and the ChiNext Index was even stronger with gains of over 3%.
Trading volume also picked up—1.29 trillion yuan was traded across the two markets in just half a day, nearly 300 billion more than the previous trading day. Signs of money flowing in are pretty obvious. Hotspots on the board rotated quickly, with more than 3,500 stocks in the green, and the profit-making sentiment was at its peak.
Computing power hardware stocks exploded. Tianfu Communication hit the 20% daily limit and set a new high; Zhongji Xuchuang also surged over 8% to a new high. It seems this wave of computing power stocks isn’t cooling off yet.
The commercial aerospace sector continued its strong performance. Shunhao Co. hit the daily limit 6 times in 7 days, and stocks like Longzhou Co. and Aerospace Power also hit their daily limits, with over a dozen stocks collectively hitting the limit. Fujian local stocks were also celebrating, with Sitai Group hitting the daily limit 8 times in 13 days, and Anji Food hitting 5 consecutive daily limits.
Of course, there was some differentiation. The coal sector didn’t perform well today, with Antai Group and Shaanxi Heimao both falling. Non-ferrous metals were also relatively weak.
Closing data: The Shanghai Composite Index closed up 0.62%, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 1.55%, and the ChiNext Index surged 3.02%. Overall, market sentiment warmed up today, with thematic stocks delivering outstanding performance.
