A #Bitcoin whale became active after 14 years of dormancy, transferring 1,000 #BTC worth nearly $89 million. The wallet from which the transfer was made had been inactive since 2010, when the value of Bitcoin did not exceed a few cents per unit.
The destination of #البيتكوين was not to any known exchange, but to another address on the blockchain. This indicates that the coins were not sold directly at this time but were transferred between digital wallets.
Coins that are over 14 years old represent assets from the early days of Bitcoin and have been held since the beginning by early adopters who believed in the technology before it gained financial value.
