How to Link & Update Email Address

Log in to your account. Place your cursor on the top-right profile icon and go to "Security verification" - "Email Setup" - "Immediate binding".

Input your email address, the verification code received via email, and your fund password. Then click on "Email Setup". img

Open your Gate.io mobile app and log in to your account. Click on the top-left profile icon and go to "Security Center" - "Link Email".


Input all of the required information (email address, email verification code, SMS verification code, and fund password). After all blanks are filled in correctly, confirm linking this email address to your account.


How to update the email address linked:

Once an email address is linked to a Gate.io account, the email address can be replaced with a new one but it cannot be unlinked. When trading, if your linked email is no longer in use and thus cannot receive verification codes, you need to provide your Gate.io username, user ID, old email address, new email address, legal name, the city you are registered at, names of the currencies that you trade, a photo of you holding your ID and a piece of paper with your Gate.io username (the paper note must also include a description of the problem you have, the phone number linked to your account, and the time when this paper note is written). You may submit a ticket on Gate.io website or send an email containing the above-mentioned information and materials to support@mail.gate.io.
