On the third day after the contract liquidation, Lao Zhao squatted on the rooftop, scrolling through the candlestick charts. His eyes were red, like a lunatic who had gambled his entire life.

Someone in the group shouted, “Brother Zhao, stop looking—your 200,000 is gone.”

Lao Zhao licked his lips and typed out a line:

“I borrowed 500,000. Tonight I’m going all-in on PENDLE—who dares to follow?”

No one replied.

He typed again: “Either I open a Lamborghini, or I scan a QR code to ride a shared bike. This is the last time I’ll bet in my life.”

At 3:00 a.m., a huge green bullish candle suddenly shot up from the ground. Lao Zhao’s account went from 50,000 to 200,000, then from 200,000 to 600,000, surging to 1.8 million.

He tossed a screenshot into the group, and with just one sentence:

“You losers who live off wages will never understand what it means to live on the tip of a needle.”

The group exploded. Some said he’d gone crazy; some said it was pure dogshit luck.

Lao Zhao didn’t reply again.

The next day, PENDLE crashed by 40%. Lao Zhao’s account was wiped out to zero, and even that message was never brought up again.

Only then did someone notice that on the rooftop there was an extra cigarette butt—pressed in very deeply, as if he’d had his life pinned down along with it. $PENDLE #GateCard一拍即付
