Tether: temporarily does not freeze smart contracts on Omni Layer, Kusama, EOS, and Algorand blockchains.
According to a report by Jinse Finance, Tether previously announced plans to stop the redemption and freezing of USDT Tokens on the Omni Layer, Bitcoin Cash SLP, Kusama, EOS, and Algorand Blockchains starting from September 1, 2025, thereby gradually ceasing support. However, based on feedback from these discontinued Blockchain Communities, Tether has decided to modify this approach and will not freeze the smart contracts on these networks. While users can still transfer Tokens between Wallets, Tether will stop directly issuing and redeeming Tokens on these Blockchains.
