This article selects official documentation resources to help developers enjoy the efficient development experience and ecosystem integration of the Monad mainnet without modifying Solidity.

Monad is a Layer-1 blockchain that is fully EVM compatible but optimized for high throughput and low-latency

It uses novel architecture (MonadBFT consensus, RaptorCast networking, asynchronous & parallel execution, JIT compilation, and a custom MonadDb) to achieve ~10,000+ TPS with ~400ms block times and ~800ms finality

Importantly, Monad preserves full EVM and RPC compatibility all existing Solidity contracts, tools, and wallets work out of the box!

Monad aims to advance the decentralization and scalability frontier.

You get much faster blocks and higher throughput without changing Solidity or Web3 workflows.

In this article, I wanted to cover some resources that can help you to learn more about Monad and start building!

Monad is designed to work with standard Ethereum development tooling.

In particular, Foundry and Hardhat are fully supported. Other tools like Remix and Scaffold-ETH also work.

Check out the guides for deploying and verifying smart contracts!

Please use Foundry version v1.5.0+ and Viem version v2.40.0+

Migrating app from any EVM chain to Monad

If you are migrating your app from other EVM chains to Monad, then the deployment summary is the most effective read for you.

It includes the network information, addresses of protocols deployed on Monad and the various differences between Monad and Ethereum that you should consider when migrating your app!

EIP-7702 is supported on Monad with a reserve balance condition, you can learn more about it here

Best practices for high performance apps

Monad docs also include a great guide for high performance apps, describing the best practices like which RPC methods to use, how to batch calls, when to use indexers, etc…

Monad Architecture

If you are interested in learning about Monad internals, you can do so by visiting the Monad Architecture section in docs

It includes detailed explanation about various the Monad differentiating technologies like Parallel Execution, MonadBFT, MonadDB and many more…

Looking for app guides?

If you are someone who is new to the web3 space or looking for app development guides, Monad docs has an excellent section full of guides for developers looking to get started building on Monad.

There are guides on how to use indexers, wallet connection sdks and even MCP and x402 apps!

Looking for templates?

Monad docs has templates for Farcaster Mini Apps, yes Farcaster app fully supports Monad mainnet including @ farcaster_xyz wallet!
